Description

Rayon Chenille is a classic synthetic body material made from soft, plush rayon fibers wrapped around a core thread. It builds full, even bodies quickly and with minimal effort, especially with a rotary vise. Available in a variety of colors and diameters, its one of the most time-tested materials in fly tying.

Best Uses:

• Woolly Buggers & Streamers: A staple for creating underbodies on one of the most iconic streamer patterns: the woolly bugger. Tie in the rayon chenille and palmer hackle over it — a staple technique that is useful for all types of streamer bodies.
• Nymphs: Used to build thicker, uniform bodies on patterns like stonefly nymphs, caddis larva, or used as a worm material in size “fine.”
