Captain Joe’s Lures & Supplies Ballyhoo Skirts are a staple for tuna fishermen in the Northeast. These lures are not only great ballyhoo, but equally deadly when rigged with a 10″ RonZ Tail as a trailer instead. Especially when they’re rigged by our team of professionals here at the shop on 200 lb. monofilament with a stainless steel QuickRig Koga hook.
This setup is extremely effective for trolling this style of lure, in lieu of ballyhoo. Some say it even works better than ballyhoo, or at the very least enough to keep as a backup to put out in case you run out in the middle of a bite. We also recommend it for people that aren’t skilled at rigging ballyhoo yet. These are easy to replace tails on so they always run true, and won’t spin like a poorly rigged ballyhoo will. Definitely something worth adding to your spread!
These “Loaded Six” rigged kits come rigged & ready with 6 of these lures ready to clip to your main line and send back in the spread. We offer these in different weight configurations and rigging styles to suit your specific fishing needs! These come rigged on 200 lb. monofilament with a stainless steel QuickRig Koga hook, the hook is careully rigged through the plastic, and secured further with glue.
