Skirts hand-tied by the legendary Capt. Joe Shute himself. These lures are extremely popular for tuna trolling in the Northeast. Now available rigged with a 10″ RonZ Tail by our team of professionals here at the shop on 200 lb. monofilament with a stainless steel QuickRig Koga hook.
The main photo on this page is meant to show how the lure is rigged with the RonZ Tail. The rest of the photos are meant to show the color of the skirt. Depending on what color skirt you order, we will color coordinate the tail. If you have any special requests on tail colors, please leave a note in your order.
This setup is extremely effective for trolling this style of lure, in lieu of ballyhoo. Some say it even works better than ballyhoo, or at the very least enough to keep as a backup to put out in case you run out in the middle of a bite. We also recommend it for people that aren’t skilled at rigging ballyhoo yet. These are easy to replace tails on so they always run true, and won’t spin like a poorly rigged ballyhoo will. Definitely something worth adding to your spread!
