Avet Reels proudly produces aluminum lever drag reels right here in the USA. These reels are known for their usage on the west coast for casting on Long Range style fishing trips. Here in the Northeast, we like to use them for bottom fishing and live bait applications most often. The MXL is an excellent size for heavy tackle striped bass, blackfish (tautog), fluke (summer flounder), bluefish, black sea bass, cod, small tuna species, and many others.
The reels that we carry here have the drag lever Glide Plate.
