The Madd Mantis Cherry Poppa is like the classic Madd Mantis “Oh Poppa”, however it features a wider profile and larger cupped face. The wide, cupped face throws a lot of water when popped, and makes a lot of fish attracting commotion. Even more-so than the original design. These poppers dig in very well, and don’t have the tendency to roll out like many others do. This size is a great inshore/big game crossover.The focus in making the Cherry Popper was to make a super durable popper that throws far, does not tumble when worked in rough seas, is not too heavy to throw all day, and doesn’t break the bank. What we ended up with was a floating popper with a reputation to catch the biggest of fish when all other baits fail to produce. It is an excellent popper for GT and Tuna Fishing, but the smaller sizes also works for roosterfish, striped bass, bluefish, jacks, and many other species.

These plugs come stock with VMC FishFighter 6X Trebles in Coastal Black Finish. We also offer them with upgraded heavy duty big game treble/inline single hooks (Owner ST-66/BKK Raptor-Z depending on sizing) and heavy split rings.
